The mission of Sveriges Radio is to broadcast radio in the public interest, and we have 7.4 million listeners each week. More than half of the population engages with our offerings in some form every day, whether through live linear radio or on-demand, via FM, on our own digital platforms, or with other providers. We provide credible knowledge, in-depth content, companionship, and entertainment. Working at Sveriges Radio means that you, regardless of your role, are a valuable part of an important mission.

Sveriges Radio P4 is a nationwide radio channel and is by far our most listened-to channel. It is used by the 25 local radio stations across the country that broadcast regionally. We are the fast and present channel that is based on our listeners' everyday lives while also taking them across Sweden and the rest of the world. P4 produces large amounts of local content but is often also responsible for national productions that are broadcast on P1, P2, P3, and P4. We also have an emergency mission that involves broadcasting important messages for the public, including follow-up information. On an average day, about 34% of the Swedish population listens to us.

We are now looking for a reporter for P4 Västmanland - a news hunter who is passionate about local journalism close to the audience's daily life!

As a reporter at P4 Västmanland, you will work right in the news flow. You are competitive and love to create journalism that reaches our audience. You can work both in the fast flow and with larger investigations. You thrive in a dynamic everyday environment where plans can change quickly, and you maintain calm and focus even when the pace is high.

We are looking for someone who has

  • Journalism education or equivalent competence
  • Driving license for manual car (B license)
  • Experience in editorial work
  • Experience in public service is an advantage

To succeed in this role, you need to take initiative, be fearless, and adapt to the audience's listening behavior. You should easily create contacts and inspire trust. You are a team player who collaborates well. You want to be a driving force in the development of the channel and contribute to more people listening to P4 Västmanland.

This is a permanent, full-time position based at P4 Västmanland in Västerås. Start date is January 1, 2026, or by agreement. The position includes early mornings, evening shifts, and weekends.
